The short version
- Be 16 or older. Use a real email. Don't share your account.
- Free is free. Pro is $29/mo. Elite is $59/mo. Subscriptions renew until you cancel. Cancel anytime — you keep paid features until the period ends.
- What you create on Cruto is yours. We have a license to host and process it so the product can work for you.
- Don't scrape, abuse, or resell the service. AI output can be wrong — read it before you act on it.
- Delete your account anytime from Profile → Danger zone. Refunds happen when something breaks on our end.

1. Introduction
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Cruto.AI (“Cruto”, “we”, “us”), an AI-powered interview preparation product operated by Cruto, Inc. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Account and registration
Accounts are created through our authentication provider, Clerk. You must be at least 16 years old to register and you agree to provide accurate information and keep it current. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account and for keeping your credentials secure.
3. Subscription tiers and billing
Cruto offers three tiers:
- Free — limited usage of generated tests and practice features.
- Pro — $29 / month, expanded usage and live voice mock interviews.
- Elite — $59 / month, highest limits and priority features.
Paid subscriptions renew automatically each billing period through Stripe until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
4. User content
You may submit job descriptions, resume content, interview transcripts, code, and other inputs (“User Content”). You retain ownership of your User Content. You grant Cruto a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, process, and transmit your User Content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the service for you.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- abuse, harass, or threaten others;
- scrape, crawl, or otherwise extract data from the service;
- resell, sublicense, or repackage the service or its outputs;
- impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity;
- attempt to circumvent rate limits, billing, or security controls.
6. AI-generated content
Test questions, interview prompts, debriefs, and feedback in Cruto are generated by large language models. Output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for a given purpose. You are responsible for reviewing AI-generated content before relying on it, and for any decisions you make based on it.
7. Intellectual property
The Cruto.AI name, logo, and product design are trademarks of Cruto, Inc. The service, including its software and original content (excluding User Content), is owned by Cruto and its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You retain rights in your User Content as described in section 4.
8. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or use the service in a way that risks harm to other users or to Cruto. You may terminate at any time by deleting your account from your settings page. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
9. Disclaimers and warranties
The service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Cruto does not guarantee interview success, job offers, or any specific outcome from using the service.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cruto’s total liability arising out of or related to the service is limited to the fees you paid to Cruto in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. Cruto is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Venue for any dispute lies in the state and federal courts located in Delaware.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notice before they take effect. Continued use of the service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance.
